One Farmer. Many Inspirations

Ankush Shankar Bhoye joined our program in 2016- 17. In the last five years, he has gone through many pieces of training and we helped him in organic farming. His agricultural production income increased from Rs.38,000 to  Rs.3,00,000 in a year. He has now started to grow creeper vegetables and these creeper vegetables alone earned Rs. 1.5 lakhs in 15 gunta. Bhoye has also indulged in seed conservation programs which were beneficial to him.

This year, more than 600 farmers visited his farm and they were inspired by different Agricultural initiatives. Bhoye and other farmers from the same village have joined hands in the collective vegetable marketing system. In this initiative, they collect the vegetables and transport them to the APMC market all by themselves. It helped them to eliminate the involvement of middlemen and get higher rates than the local vendors.
